To coordinate traffic activities and receive complaints regarding traffic matters. This commission makes recommendations to the City Council and other City officials regarding traffic conditions and the administration and enforcement of traffic regulations. The chairman of the commission shall be appointed by the mayor and may be removed by the mayor.
Members of the various boards, commissions and committees appointed by the city council shall not serve more than two (2) consecutive full terms on the same board, commission or committee. (Sec. 2-393. - Term limits.)

Except for those boards, commissions and committees established by state statute, the length of a full term of membership shall be three (3) years. (Sec. 2-394. - Term length.)
