June 14, 2017—Traffic Signal Project vs. KCP&L Street Light Project

Warrensburg, Mo. – Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L) representatives Steve Granger and Mark Dawson presented at the City Council meeting on June 12, 2017. They discussed their plan to install Light-Emitting Diode (LED) streetlights. This project is not to be confused with the City of Warrensburg’s “City-Wide Traffic Signal [or Traffic Light] Upgrade” that was approved during the April 4th, 2017 election on Infrastructure Improvement Bonds.

There are 19 controlled intersections in Warrensburg with signals that are outdated. For better traffic flow, energy conservation, and maintenance efficiencies, these signals will be upgraded. This project was identified and approved to be included in the 2017-2021 Community Investment Plan, and we look forward to beginning this project soon.
