PRESS RELEASE: 2017 Street Maintenance Resurfacing Program

PRESS RELEASE

The Warrensburg Street Department would like to advise residents and visitors of the community that the 2017 Street Maintenance Resurfacing Program will begin Tuesday morning July 25, 2017, weather permitting.  Roto-milling (removing old surface) of affected city streets is to begin first. Hot Mix Overlay (installing new surface) of affected city streets is to begin Monday morning July 31, 2017 and will be completed on Friday, August 04, 2017 weather permitting.

Residents and businesses are being asked not to park vehicles on the affected streets Monday through Friday, July 24 through August 04, 2017 or until after the resurfacing process is completed. No Parking signs will be posted by the Street Department and vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense. No Parking signs will be removed as soon as streets are complete and ready to be opened to traffic. The streets scheduled for resurfacing, in no particular order, are as follows:

Pembrooke Drive:  A Point South of New Storm Drain north to A Point North of New Storm Drain.

Grover Street:  Holden Street east to College Street.

Pine Street: Warren Street west to Water Street.

Washington Street:  King Street south to Houx Street.

Acorn Street:  Market Street north to Cul-de-sac.

West Market Street:  Second Street east to Water Street.

Foxridge Drive: Chelsea Court north to Quincy Drive.

PLEASE DO NOT WATER YOUR LAWN UNTIL THE RESURFACING WORK IS COMPLETED.
