Ice Storm Causes Damage in MultiState Area

Warrensburg, Mo. – The National Weather Service issued an Ice Storm Warning for Northwestern Missouri beginning Friday, January 13, 2017 until Sunday, January 15, 2017. Periods of significant icing are likely across the area, though the most significant phase of icing is expected Saturday night into Sunday morning. Throughout the weekend a prediction of one-quarter to three-quarters of an inch of ice could accumulate and cause unforeseen events to take place.

In the case of a power outage, call the Kansas City Power and Light (KCP&L) call center at 1-888-544-4852. Please print out, or write down your KCP&L account number and have it handy. You will need this information when you contact the call center; it may be difficult to retrieve your account information online if the power is out.
