Bob Watts

City Council
Title: Council Member
Watts Council Member

I am honored to serve as a member of the City Council. I arrived here in 1983 with my wife of 52 years, Phyllis. We bought a home, and our two young daughters began to make lifelong friendships.

I retired from Whiteman Air Force Base as a Chief Master Sergeant in 1985 and soon went to work for the Warrensburg School District as the Director of Buildings and Grounds. It was in that position that I came to realize what a special community Warrensburg truly is. The support I was given by the community was amazing, as we built new buildings and renovated many more.

My service at Whiteman Air Force Base, coupled with my employment at the Warrensburg School District and my wife's employment at the University of Central Missouri for 26 years, make for a unique prospective on what makes this town so great.

Looking to the Future
These are exciting times. Together with the City staff led by our City Manager, Harold Stewart, and the other council members, I look forward to meeting the needs and challenges of the City.
