Volunteer with Parks and Rec
Volunteers are an integral part of Warrensburg Parks and Recreation. Come watch a soccer, baseball, basketball or volleyball game and you will see the impact of volunteers. Every event, 5K and many of our activities are only possible thanks to volunteers. You may also see the benefits of volunteer effort in our parks – they are regularly painted, spruced up and cleaned by members of the community looking for an opportunity to contribute.
There are a wide variety of things you can do to be involved. Come be a part of the hustle and bustle of a 5K, enjoy the solitude of a quiet morning posting signs along the Storybook Trail, or round up a group of your co-workers and friends and come tackle a beautification project in a park.
It takes a lot of people willing to work hard (while also having fun) to offer the many programs available to our Warrensburg community. In 2015 Warrensburg Parks and Recreation volunteers contributed more than 7,809 hours of their time. Retirees, UCM students, high school students, military members and their families, and many more people in our community have all found a way to volunteer at Parks and Rec.
