The City Council is pleased to announce Harold Stewart II of Knoxville, Iowa, has accepted the position of City Manager. Mr. Stewart was selected through a national search that yielded several impressive candidates. Mayor Robin Allen, along with the other City Council members, unanimously selected Stewart because he rose to the top as the most qualified candidate. She said the City Council members look forward to the enthusiasm and expertise he will bring to Warrensburg. Mr. Stewart has been the City Manager in Knoxville for the past four years, as well as three years in Ogallala, Nebraska, prior to Knoxville. He will begin work in Warrensburg on August 31. The City Council is excited to welcome him and his family to our community.
