The Warrensburg Police Department is comprised of the Chief of Police, one Detective Lieutenant, one Patrol/Operations Lieutenant, one Administrative Services Lieutenant, three patrol Sergeants, three patrol Corporals, three Detectives, one COPS Corporal, two School Resource Officers (Corporal), fourteen Patrol Officers, four Reserve Officers, one Parking Control Officer, one Secretary, two full-time Clerk/Typists and two part-time Clerk/Typists.

The Warrensburg Police Department remains focused on being community service oriented. Many police departments, due to manpower and budget constraints, have moved away from service activities such as response to private property accidents and vehicle lockouts, WPD continues to focus on these types of service. Every year WPD officers unlock 1,800 vehicles for citizens in distress and respond to the scene of 250 private property accidents.
