Special Emergency Response Team

The  SERT Team is comprised of eight WPD officers. The SERT Team, formed in 1993, is utilized in high risk situations in which special training, tactics, equipment and additional team work are required. The SERT Team is administered by the Police Operations Lieutenant Asher Snook with  Patrol Sergeant Kirby Carroll as the Team Leader. A majority of SERT operations are for service of high risk narcotics search warrants.
