The Patrol Division is the 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays backbone of Police services to the City of Warrensburg. A total of 21 officers are assigned to the Patrol Division.

Three main shifts for the Patrol Division. Each shift is supervised by a Sergeant with a Corporal acting in the absence of the Sergeant.

Evening and midnight shifts overlap and allow for optimum use of manpower during peak times for police services. This peak occurs between 9:00 PM and 2:30 AM especially on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. Overlapping shifts allow for as many as 10 Patrol Division officers to be on-duty during peak times.

The Patrol Division is responsible for providing police services including crime prevention, crime detection, traffic services, investigation of offenses, investigation of traffic accidents.
