Summer Day Camp

2010

Positions Available

Camp Directors:  Responsible for planning and organizing age appropriate activities.  (Camp I  ages 5-8;  Camp II  ages 9-12)    Supervises staff of 5 -8 workers.     $9.00 per hour.  Averages 40 to 50 hours per week.  Must be available for pre-camp preparation and planning.   Number needed:  2

 

Unit Leaders: Responsbile for supervising unit of 10-12 campers.  Helps to plan and lead variety of activities including arts & crafts, games, etc.  Pay is $7.45 per hour.  Position may average 40 to 50 hours per week.  Number needed:  (14-16)

 

Unit Leaders In Training:  Assists in program activities.  Training opportunities for 15 – 17 year olds.  Position may average 10 to 20 hours.  Pay is $5.95 per hour.   Number needed: 8 - 10

Important Dates:

 

Camp Runs:             June 1 – August 11  *dates subject to change!

Camp Hours:          Monday – Friday   8:30 am – 4:30 pm

                             Extended hours:  7:00 am – 5:30 pm

Staff Training:  Tentatively set for May 26 & 27.      

 

 

Deadline to apply:  February 19, 2010.  (except for Unit Leader In Training—April 9) 

Interviews are tentatively set for week of March 1.

Please note:

    • Must be CPR & First Aid certified.  (WPR will offer a class.  Certification must be current at time of camp.)
    • Preference will be given to those with related education and experience.
