New Bike Routes in the ‘Burg

The City of Warrensburg, in a collaborative effort with the Missouri Department of Transportation, announces the installation of new signage designating a bike route throughout Warrensburg. 

The bike route connects all major destination areas thoughout the City and encourages a “green” and healthy alternate form of transportation for everyone.  The signs serve to alert motorists to “share the road” along the streets where there is an increase in bicycle traffic. 

Bicyclists are reminded that City ordinances prohibit riding on sidewalks and are encouraged to take advantage of the newly-created route.  The path of the new bike trail is laid out entirely on City streets except where it connects to the existing bike/pedestrian trail on DD Highway.
