DREAM Initiative Starts Local Phone Surveys
Warrensburg, Missouri – A community telephone survey will be conducted starting September 7, 2009, as part of the ongoing information gathering process for the Downtown Revitalization and Economic Assistance for Missouri (DREAM) Initiative. The process involves contacting random members of the community, by telephone, to assess desired wants and needs for downtown. PGAV, the planning consultant for the DREAM Initiative, has been working with Warrensburg and the State of Missouri.
“It is extremely valuable input and the survey is anonymous”, said Mike Hurlbert, Project Manager for the DREAM Initiative in Warrensburg. “The results will be compiled to help with future planning efforts. If called, we would really appreciate your assistance. We respect everyone’s valuable time, but it is an easy way for the community members to get involved and contribute to the Downtown.”
The survey is expected to take approximately 15 minutes total.
The DREAM initiative was developed to help small and mid-sized Missouri communities access existing State assistance to programs to help with downtown revitalization and job creation efforts. The DREAM Initiative allows communities to more efficiently and effectively engage in downtown redevelopment and revitalization, as well as attract new private investment into the heart of their communities.
