 DREAM Kick-Off Meeting

 

Warrensburg, Missouri – The Downtown Revitalization and Economic Assistance for Missouri (DREAM) initiative will be the topic of discussion at the DREAM Kick-Off Meeting which will be held on June 9th at 6:00 p.m. at the White Rose Pavilion (107 Ming Street).

 

The keynote speakers will be Mike Hurlbert of PGAV, Inc., the planning firm under contract by the Missouri Development Finance Board to provide the DREAM planning components.  Representatives from the Missouri Development Finance Board, the Missouri Department of Economic Development, and The Missouri Housing Development Commission will also be in attendance.

 

“As a planning consultant of Missouri’s DREAM Initiative, I look forward to working with Barbara Carroll and Jessica Rhodes.  We will work closely with city officials to identify the retail, cultural and historical potential of Warrensburg Downtown,” Mike Hurlbert said. “The intent of this program is to add value to the local partnership of property owners, merchants, and concerned citizens and build a solid foundation for the economic revitalization of the Downtown.”

 

The DREAM Kick-off Meeting is open to the public and all public input is welcome.

 

Warrensburg was one of 10 communities chosen for this innovative new program.

 

The DREAM Initiative helps small and mid-sized Missouri community’s access existing state assistance programs to help with Downtown revitalization and job creation efforts. The DREAM Initiative allows communities to more efficiently and effectively engage in Downtown redevelopment and revitalization as well as attract new private investment into the heart of their communities.
