The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission released the following information in regards to a voluntary recall of Kidde fire extinguishers.

Warrensburg, like many other cities searching for ways to stretch its public dollars, created a plan to cut fuel costs throughout its departments in response to a challenge issued by the City Manager. The City was searching for ways to be more “green” and to increase efficiency.

Fourth Quarter Leadership Challenge Awards
The City of Warrensburg recognized its 4th Quarter Leadership Challenge winner John Jacobsen, the 2008 Leadership Challenge Employees of the Year Marcy Bryant and Sarah Jacob, and the Leadership Challenge Annual Group Award winners Keith Johns, Stephen Ring and David Penrose.
WARRENSBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT RECEIVES FEDERAL FIRE GRANT
The City of Warrensburg has been notified by the U.S. Fire Administration that the Warrensburg Fire Department was awarded a $133,000 Federal FIRE Act grant on December 26th. The grant was awarded in response to a 2008 application for funds to purchase a portable fire training unit featuring a burn room.

October 2, 2008 - Mr. James R. Hall has been appointed by the Warrensburg City Manager as the Municipal Judge for a term beginning October 1, 2008 and ending September 30, 2010.
Increased Code Enforcement to Beautify the City
The City of Warrensburg is increasing its efforts to beautify Warrensburg. With the adoption of the 2008-2009 Operating Budget, City Council dedicated additional funds to increase nuisance code enforcement measures.

On August 14, 2008 Warrensburg Police received a report of a ladies ring valued at $7,750 being stolen from a resident at the Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg.

Celebrate July 4 Safely
The Warrensburg Fire Department wishes everyone a safe 4th of July holiday. As a reminder, fireworks are not permitted to be used in the City Limits of Warrensburg.
Sales Tax Holiday
This year’s sales tax holiday begins at 12:01 am on Friday, August 1, and ends at midnight on Sunday, August 3, for qualifying items. This State and City sales tax holiday should save approximately 6.1% on those items that qualify.
Lions Lake Meeting
