City of Warrensburg FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 14th, 2008 The Warrensburg Fire Department has temporarily relocated Station 1 from City Hall at 102 S. Holden St. to 410 N. Holden St. The move will allow remodeling and expansion to begin on the offices and living quarters of Station 1. The Johnson County Fire Protection District has graciously offered the use of their former headquarters building at 410 N. Holden St. for the Station 1 firefighting crews to house the new engine, reserve engine, and the city’s ladder truck. The administrative staff have all been moved to temporary offices at City Hall and at Station 2, 1550 Corporate Dr. According to Fire Chief Phil Johnston, “The use of the former district station is a great benefit to the citizens of Warrensburg because it maintains the present level of service with no interruptions or delays in the response times of the department’s personnel and equipment.” The project will officially begin on August 18th and should be finished and reoccupied by the fire department by the beginning of next year. You can continue to call the Fire Department at (660)747-9136 to speak with any of the staff, but if you have an emergency please call 911. For more information contact:
