Part-Time Firefighters and Student Residents
The City of Warrensburg, Missouri, is accepting applications for Part Time Firefighters and Part Time Firefighter Student Residents. Position is an on-call position as needed for emergencies; fill in positions and special assignments. Requirements are: 18 years of age. Reside within defined boundary located within Johnson County. Prefer certified as Missouri Firefighter I or obtained within (one) 1 year, prefer possession of current license as an Emergency Medical Technician in Missouri or National Registry or obtained within (two) 2 years, and a valid Missouri driver’s license. Position is responsible for a variety of duties including: firefighting, fire prevention, and rescue, EMS, and hazmat activities along with other related tasks. Successful applicant must be of good character, excellent work ethic, team player, and moral principle. Hourly rate of $7.96 to $9.37. D.O.Q. Part time firefighters receive first consideration for promotion to full time when a full time position comes available.
