The Building Inspection Division works to ensure the life safety and durability of structures built within the City.  The Building Inspection Department reviews development and construction plans and inspects structures for compliance with the City's building codes (structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical).

The work of the Building Inspection division is supervised by the Building Official, assisted by a Building Inspector, and a Permit Clerk.

The division works with developers and builders prior to construction to ensure that plans for development and construction will meet City requirements.
