    Join us in the pool for strength and conditioning exercises as we help your children develop confidence and technique in their swimming abilities. This program is intended for all Home School families. Each lesson will focus on new techniques while improving each stroke. *Not a learn to swim class, geared for swimmers who wish to enhance their swim technique

    Let's cook up some FUN! Kids in the Kitchen allows kids a hands-on cooking experiences. Kids will learn how to prepare simple recipes they can make for themselves and for other family members at home! They will also become more confident in the kitchen and have lots of FUN! All supplies will be provided. Its FREE thanks to University of Missouri Extension Nutrition Program Associate West Central Region-Johnson County. There are three groups, divided by age and taught at different times, to accommodate varying abilities.

    April 24, 2018, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Arts & Crafts Room

    Try out the potter's wheel and hand build too! This eight week class will accommodate beginners and intermediate skills levels. Class runs Tues. Feb 27, 6pm - 8pm, eight weeks of intruction and on the 9th week pick up projects April 24, 6pm - 7pm. All materials and firing are included in the fee. Space is limited, so register early!

  6. Adult Slow Pitch Softball (MENS)

    April 25, 2018, 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Cave Hollow Park

    Structure: The COED season will consist of 10 league games under a doubleheader format and automatic entry into a single-elimination post season tournament. Governing Rules: This league follows ASA rules unless stated otherwise. For a copy of the rules, please email: grant.weber@warrensburg-mo.com. Team Registration: Team captains/managers will register their team and receive a roster form via email. Team rosters must submitted to the Site Supervisor on the first night of games. Rosters may not exceed 20 players. COED requires teams to field an equal number of men and women. Equipment: Teams will be responsible for providing their own game balls. Men's: 12 inch, 300 compression/.44 core ball. WPR Policy: The City of Warrensburg does not allow the consumption of alcohol while at City Parks. Use of alcohol or other foreign substances during games will result in team expulsion from the league with no refund.

  7. Junior Community Chorus

    April 26, 2018, 3:45 PM - 5:00 PM @ Meeting Room 1 & 2

    Do you like to sing? If so, come join other treble singers for an excellent choral experience. Each rehearsal begins with snacks and get-acquainted activities. Music performed will include a wide variety of cultures, languages and styles. The new conductor brings experience working with young singers from throughout the US and several counties. Spring concert will be April 29th and another performance to be announced. No audition necessary. Max 40 people, register early to guarantee a T-shirt. Instructors: Dr. Verna Brummett (conductor) Anita Grigsby (Accompanist)
